Ottawa is the capital of Canada and is the second coldest capital city in the world , (after Ulan Bator). It is also the fourth-largest metropolitan area in Canada. The Ottawa River flows east-west, between the Ontario and Quebec parts of the region. The Rideau River and Canal flow in a north-south direction through the middle of Ottawa.
People enjoy good quality and standard of life. Hundreds of kilometers of cross-country ski trails and bicycling. A healthy and active lifestyle becomes second nature with Ottawa's wealth of parks, forests, waterways and open spaces. There are numerous museums, clubs and cultural activity centers. Gatineau Park is near of Ottawa.
